March 9, 2018GWAG Launches Cultural Ambassador Scholarship in Georgia
As part of their 10th anniversary celebrations, the Ghanaian Women's Association of Georgia has launched an annual scholarship to benefit female students of Ghanaian descent resident in the state of Georgia. The purpose of the scholarship is to honor students who can demonstrate potential to use entrepreneurship as a way to promote the Ghanaian culture and community development.
The association awarded its first scholarship to Ms. Ama Kessie, a student of Georgia State University, during its 10th anniversary ceremony which was held at Atlanta City Hall on December 16, 2017. Ms. Ama Kessie was awarded $500 towards her college education. The 2018 application period will be announced soon. In the meantime, please check the application requirements here.
