February 9, 2018Ghanaian Women’s Association of Georgia Kicks Off Third Annual Maternity Project Fundraising Campaign
The Ghanaian Women's Association of Georgia has kicked off its third annual maternity project fundraising campaign by calling all members to actively pursue donation contributions from family and friends. Addressing members in a kick-off email, Ms. Emelia Awua, chair of the fundraising committee, encouraged members to reach out to all their contacts and suggested 100% participation. She also encouraged members to make use of the new Facebook fundraising features in hopes that this would help to generate more funds for the campaign. She emphasized the success of previous campaigns and appealed to members to "do the same this year".
To date, members have raised a little over $1500 towards their $15,000 goal which must be met by April 28th, the date of the fundraising dinner.
