GWAG Gains Business Certification in Ghana

On March 23, 2017, the Ghanaian Women's Association of Georgia gained certification under Sections 27 and 28 of the Companies Act of Ghana, giving the organization the green light to become an NGO operational in Ghana. With this new status comes the ability to now raise funds legally from individuals and corporations in Ghana, without those entities having to wire the money outside. In addition, it will make it easier for GWAG to operate on the ground in Ghana (issuing and receiving local payments etc.) The organization is proud to add this recent achievement to our list of growth actions. Thanks to everyone who supported us in this endeavor and helped make it possible.
